The Situation
J780N Eastern Cape Education Program supports three education programs in the Eastern Cape of South Africa: Middlewater school, Cookhouse/Siyakhula Creche, and Kids Explosion. In South Africa around 50% of children attend school and tertiary fees are so high that almost all children are unable to attend higher education programs. Each of these programs addresses the care, food, and education needs of the children in this area. It is the goal of the Eastern Cape Education Program to help the community’s children out of the poverty cycle through education and a supportive environment. The schools strive to be great in the areas of academics, culture and sport and through this develop strong spiritual and emotionally secure individuals.
The Objective
- To support learners so that they can become balanced, happy adults, that can make a positive change and contribute positively towards society.
